Winter-themed festival for the whole family: February 2015
February 15, 2014: Downtown North Adams
North Adams has a great way to shake those winter blues! Head downtown to WinterFest on February 15th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for hot chocolate, a chowder competition, ice sculpting, horse-drawn wagon rides, and roasted marshmallows at a community campfire.
This family-friendly, day-long downtown event is sure to brighten up even the coldest winter day! Festivities will wrap-up at the North Adams Skating Rink.
Here is our current schedule of events (all events are free unless otherwise noted - we will update this list as details become available):
All Day (10 AM - 4 PM)
Ice Sculpting - Main Street
Community Camp Fire with Marshmallow Roasting - Holden Street
Bracelet and Headband Making at MCLA Gallery 51
Music at Eagle St. Music
10 AM - 12 PM
Pony rides from Bonnie Lee Farm on Holden Street ($5 a ride)
Cookies, Cocoa, and Face Painting in the MountainOne Bank Lobby
Fun run/walk leaving from 85 Main Street, and following the new North Adams Walking Loops created by Mass in Motion
11 AM - 2 PM
Once Around the Block Consignment Shop Open House on Holden Street.
12 - 2 PM
Chowder Tasting at 107 Main Street
12:30 - 2:30 PM
Blueberry Buckle Trio at Berkshire Emporium & Antiques (along with some berry-themed surprises)
Horse Drawn Wagon Rides leaving from MountainOne Bank on Main Street
Info Booths and Vendors (all on Main Street)
The Range By MVP Promotions will display snow mobiles and will have tickets for sale for their event on the 22nd.
North Adams SteepleCats will bring Slider downtown and will sell food as a team fundraiser
Berkshire Black Bears will be downtown with information about the new hockey team hosted in North Adams
